Virtual Interactive Cases for the Nurse Practitioner Program

Virtual Interactive Cases allow students to practice assessing patients to determine the diagnosis that accounts for the presenting complaint, and select the appropriate management actions for the patient's problem.

Please review the instructions on the opening page of the case and carry out your assessment in a thorough but efficient way. When you feel you have completed your assessment, you can proceed to select the diagnosis and appropriate management items for the patient.

Virtual Interactive Cases provide feedback at the end of the case regarding the rationale for the correct diagnosis and management items. In the Debriefing of your assessment at the end of the case, there is also feedback regarding the assessment items explaining why they are essential for the identification of the correct diagnosis. You can click on these items to view this feedback.

There is a button on the Debriefing page labeled "Copy debriefing". When you click on this button, a window will open with all the debriefing in a text box. If you click on this text it will be selected, and you can copy and paste it into a word-processing document to save your resutls.
