Blunt and Waterjet Dissection

Technique description



Sometimes, the cystohepatic triangle is severely inflammed making conventional cautery dissection potentially dangerous.


In such situations, blunt dissection using the suction, or hydrodissection may be safer. Care should be taken to not avulse structures.

This approach can also be used when facing less severe inflammation.
